Edward Krasinski Stedelijk Museum

The Theatermachine created light design for the exhibition on Edward Krasinski. Krasinski was an important artist from Eastern Europe, he played a major role in the Polish Avantgarde movement in the 1960s and 1970s. The retrospective covers his entire artistic career from the sculptures of found materials from the early 60s to the installations of the beginning of the 21st century. The exhibition zooms in on his experimental approach in making objects and installations. In 1968 he introduced blue adhesive tape in his work, a simple ready-to-use material.  With this tape he connected spaces and objects. The work is exciting, abstract and feels timeless.
