For the Wroclaw Opera house Maarten Warmerdam created the lighting design for the production I Compuleti E I Montecchi by Berlini. The production is director by Krystian Lada and is the first act is set in hyperrealistic stage design by Didzis Jaunzems. The first act is primary lit by practicals. As the story enfolds the stage becomes more and abstract and starts to disintegrate to ultimately dissolve in empty backstage area.
