Koning Bowi for Theater Sonnevanck

Koning Bowi is a music theater performance produced by Theater Sonnevanck about the moment when your life as a toddler changes drastically: the first day of school. Energetic and magical music theater based on the Japanese fairytale ‘The Stonecutter’.

Mike Evers of Theatermachine provided light design for this touring theater production. Ranging from architectural light elements in and around scenery (RGBWW LED panels) to theatrical moving lights (Robe LEDBeam 150), this light set has been designed to provide sufficient atmosphere and creative possibilities for the staging by Daniël van Klaveren and the scenic design by Eddy van der Laan. The scenery is illuminated in several levels, in height, width and depth. The design is optimized for efficient set-up and dismantling for the technicians. The performance received very positive reviews.
