‘Krabat and the legend of the satanic mill’ on stage

The theatre performance ‘Krabat’ was directed by Ulrike Quade and was brought out in Slovenia and The Netherlands and will be touring internationally for the next few years. The play is based on the book by Otfried Pressler and is adapted by Marcel Rooijaards. The text, scenography, light, video and music were created all together and formed an inseparable unity at the basis of the mise en scene.

Ulrike Quade connects the band new music by Leonard Evers, inspired by the centuries old choir tradition of Slovenia, the touching figurines of Slovenian artist Silvan Omerzu and a crystal clear text by Marcel Roojaards into a visual performance. The light design was made by Floriaan Ganzevoort.
