An angel, a girl and a cat are roaming the snowy streets of Leiden, looking for a Christmas miracle. In the theatre begins The First National Charity Family Christmas Gala.
The show tells a classic Christmas tale. The angel looks back into the past to Christmas 2008. In a black and white world, all roles are introduced and conjured up one by one. A magical Christmas story begins.
The presentation makes extensive use of video to clarify the scene in the “reality” of the gala stage. Tight rapid light changes help the director tell the story.
Maarten Warmerdam did the light design as well as operations for this production.
