Xynix Opera plays King Arthur

King Artur is a story about the Kings Arthur and Oswald who are battling for the holy greal. Both Kings fall for the beautiful grail keeper Emmelijn and fight each other for her love.

This performance is situated on the beautiful fort Rijnouwen. This fort is the biggest fortification of the Hollandse Waterlinie. After world war two the fort became outdated and was left evacuated. These days the fort and its surroundings are part of a nature reserve.

For this performance Maarten Warmerdam created a lighting design during transition between day and night.
