The Stedelijk Museum presented the largest overview of the photographic and filmic work of Dutch photographer Ed van der Elsken (1925-1990) in twenty five years. Van der Elsken was renowned as a street photographer, and is recognised as the most important Dutch photographer of the 20th century. The exhibition ‘camera in love’ is build up in two parts. One part showed a lot of video and film work, the spaces were dark and had a movie theater atmosphere. While in the middle there are were four white rooms with black and white pictures. A big difference of atmosphere in one exhibition. For us the challenge to bring it all together with lights.
