Muted on tour Monica Germino

Muted the solo performance of violinist Monica Germino traveled through the Netherlands last summer after a number of performances abroad. Louis Andriessen, together with David Lang, Julia Wolfe and Michal Gordon, composed the quietest violin music ever. An intimate solo performance for whisper violin in which the audience is seated around a light object designed by Floriaan Ganzevoort.

Muted owes its name to the mutes that Monica uses to mute the sound of the violin. Every mute creates its own sound. Monica has performed at Korzo Theater, Atelier van Lieshout, Muziekgebouw aan het IJ and at the Wonderfeel festival.
