‘Doubletrack’ by Beppie Blankert

On a bench is a troubled man. Occasionally a train thunders by. The man shifts, slides on the wood and stands. The turbulent noises on the platform. In a couple of movements the man is on top of the bench. His wait is a ritual. Same movements. Dance passes. He talks about memories, about life. For a moment he seems to calm down and sits down. Then, out of nothing, there is suddenly a woman beside him. The man looks confused. He seems as surprised as the audience. Can it be really true on stage? Yes, it can be. In Doubletrack of Beppie Blankert nothing seems to be impossible. A piece that touches and surprises.
